Health spa delivers on pampering for mothers-to-be

Downe Health Spa, located on the beautiful Hartland Peninsula, now delivers a Pamper Day designed for mothers-to-be.

The Mother-to-Be Pamper Day is suitable for women in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. It comprises a day in the Health Spa and includes lunch, a cream tea, soft drinks and the use of towels, towelling robes, slippers and shower cosmetics plus four therapies designed to relax and rejuvenate:

The “Mother to Be” Holistic Relaxation Therapy – An indulgent body and facial treatment created by Downe’s own therapists to provide a holistic experience which reduces the physical and emotional stress of pregnancy. Specially selected essential oils (safe to use during pregnancy or nursing) are used to assist calm, slow breathing. The client is also given a soothing massage with mandarin and lavender oils to relieve muscular tension, fluid retention, stress and fatigue.
A facial chosen from Downe’s range of luxury facials – Following a consultation with a therapist on skin type and needs, the client selects from the range available (including the Hydra Dew, Hydra Sensitive Skin, Hydra Refine Pare Perfecting and Four Layer Facials).
The Sea Spa Manicure – A manicure which is no less than a facial for the hands. This therapeutic treatment includes an invigorating hand massage featuring seaweed based hand cream and a paraffin wax treatment, leaving hands soft, wellgroomed and polished.
The Sea Spa Pedicure – No less than a facial for the feet.
